Afterschool Adventures, 6-week specialty activities designed for kids in grades K-5, are coming to your school in February!

ERfC Afterschool Adventures offer a variety of enrichment and recreational activities that keep kids challenged and engaged. Professionals from Enfield and surrounding communities will lead activities beginning in February. All Afterschool Adventures activities begin directly after school. Check our website to see which Adventures are coming to your school, fees, and how to register online.
Afterschool Adventure Activities
Kidz Sports Get kids moving after school! Students engage in cooperative play and try out a variety of sports, games, and activities, all designed to keep kids active.
Arts & Crafts A great activity to try something new! Kids will learn to use different paper craft mediums at every session, including origami paper folding, tissue paper,
crepe paper, cardstock, and more. Students will create a craft every class to take home.
Scrapbooking Memories Scrapbooking brings out the artist in everyone! Students will use their personal photos to create a scrapbooking keepsake.
Peacebuilding Games Cooperative games are an excellent way for kids to learn and practice peacemaking skills. Students will develop the essential skills of cooperation, communication, empathy, and conflict resolution by giving them an opportunity to work together toward a common goal.
Chorus for Kids If you have a voice, you can sing! Students will learn the basics of singing, including proper posture and breathing techniques. At the end of the session, kids will choose a vocal solo to perform. Beginners are welcomed!
Kidchen Capable A hands-on cooking program just for kids! Students will learn to make healthy snacks and meals and learn about nutrition, safety, and proper food storage.
Stop Motion Movie Making Want to learn how to make your own movie? In this digital media class, students will learn the basics of animation and create their very own stop motion mini movie.
Tennis – Learn to Play! A great indoor sport for the winter where kids can be active and develop skills. Students will learn the basics of tennis including serving, returning and rallying, and plenty of movements.
Food Explorers Students discover new foods through a variety of “taste tests”, hands-on cooking activities, games and more! All recipes are nut free.

Afterschool Adventures are fee-based activities open to all children, including children who are home-schooled, in private schools, or from surrounding communities. Tonight in Thompsonville Family Night of ‘Winter Games’ will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd
Join ERfC at St. Patrick’s Hall, 64 Pearl Street, at 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm for a free family dinner and games!
Participate in a hockey shoot out, try your luck at finger football, or test your balance snowboarding! There will also be winter arts & craft activities, a free family dinner, and raffles. All Enfield families are invited to join in on the fun!
Teachers from Parkman Elementary School will be the Tonight in Thompsonville special guests, leading fun, educational math games for children of all ages. The Eagles High School Hockey Team, including Enfield, East Granby, and Stafford High School Hockey Players, will also join families in winter themed games and activities.
Tonight in Thompsonville is part of the Heathy Meals=Healthy Minds initiative, a collaborative between ERfC and the Enfield Food Shelf. The family dinner is provided by community partner, Enfield Loaves & Fishes. There is no cost to attend and no preregistration is required.
