ERfC Centers Participate in Enfield Public Library’s Festival of Trees
Students in the Before & After School Centers are working together to create a holiday tree that will be displayed at the Enfield Public Library’s Festival of Trees beginning December 13th. Each year, the library encourages the community to create homemade trees out of unusual materials. The creative, non-traditional trees were submitted to the library on December 8th. All the trees will be on display at the library until December 29th.
Students at Parkman Morning Center created their tree out of construction paper, cardboard, and paper towel tubes. Their tree, designed to showcase how ERfC matters to them, is adorned with an ERfC snowflake on top and light bulbs were added to show the many ERfC activities they enjoy before and after school. Students from the Hazardville & Whitney After School Center worked together to choose the perfect colors to use in their bead tree, filled top to bot-tom with unique bead combinations. Students from the Enfield Street & Parkman Center worked hard on painting egg cartons to stack and create their special tree.
Be sure to stop by the Enfield Public Library before December 29th to check out all the great trees made by ERfC before & after school students as well as many other individuals, groups, and organizations in the community!
