Healthy Meals = Healthy Minds Programs
Community Outreach & Engagement provides strength-based case management services, connects families to community resources and providers, and includes out-of-school time activities to support academic success. ERfC partners with the schools and the community to provide family engagement opportunities throughout the year.
The Healthy Meals=Healthy Minds project, in partnership with the Enfield Food Shelf, provides tools to help families learn about health, fitness and nutrition, shopping, food budgeting, and meal preparation. Healthy Meals=Healthy Minds also helps to connect families with school and out-of-school time activities.
Tonight in Thompsonville provides a monthly family dinner event during the school year that includes educational activities in collaboration with community service providers.
Summer Lunch Bunch is a a free USDA lunch program for children up to age 18. Enrichment and literacy activities provide summer learning opportunities.
KidZ Sports is an after school fitness program that introduces athleticism through creative play in a learning environment. KidZ Sports focuses on teaching sport skills from dribbling to throwing, and improving fitness through dynamic warm-up and conditioning stations. KidZ Sports also includes is an education component on nutrition.
