ERfC Before and After School Centers provide students with many opportunities to explore different learning styles by providing a variety of project-based and interactive activities. All grade level teams have a 1:10 student to adult ratio.
NEW! The ERfC Before & After School Centers are temporarily closing in the Enfield Schools. Before & After School will be available at the Distance Learning Center, with morning transportation to school and afternoon transportation from school provided.
Learn more about the temporary closure of the ERfC Before & After School Centers and the expansion of the DLC in this letter from Claire Hall, ERfC Executive Director (11/10/2020)
NEW as of 01/07/2021: See this UPDATE LETTER
Beginning Monday, November 16, all students enrolled in ERfC Centers will be bused to the new ERfC Distance Learning Center (DLC) after school. The DLC is located at the Enfield Annex, 124 North Maple Street, Lower Level, Door #6, at the Moody Rood entrance.
On hybrid days, students enrolled in Before School will be dropped off by parents to the DLC and bused to their school in time to begin the school day. Students enrolled in After School will be bused to the DLC at the end of the school day. This temporary arrangement is possible because of our partnership with Enfield Public Schools, the Town of Enfield, and Smyth Bus.
This schedule follows the hybrid school schedule. This new location also offer more enrollment opportunities! Many options are available from morning, school day, and afternoon hours. Use any combination of these hours from 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday - Friday, to make a schedule that works for your family this school year!
Choose from one day to all five. Please see the Distance Learning Center page for more information

Dear ERfC Parents & Guardians,
We would like to make everyone aware that there are children in our before and after school programs that have a severe allergy to peanuts and/or tree nuts. This allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock that may result in death) can occur by simply breathing the breath of a child who has eaten peanuts, by touching the hands of a child who may have peanut butter on them, or touching surfaces that may be contaminated with peanut butter.
Since this condition can be life threatening, we are asking for your help in minimizing the risk to all of our students by:
a) Avoid giving children peanuts or nut snacks to bring to ANY ERfC program.
b) Avoid sending peanut butter sandwiches, other spreads containing nuts (such as Nutella) and any snacks or bars containing nuts or labelled “may contain traces of nuts or peanuts”.
c) Ask your child to not share their lunches and to never give peanuts or other nuts to any other student, and explain to them about this serious allergy.
Due to the severity of the allergy, it is important that all parents and guardians adhere to this policy and talk with your children about the importance of following these measures, to reduce the risk of allergic reaction in any child. If your child must eat peanut products before coming to school, please make sure they thoroughly wash their hands and that they understand the importance of protecting their fellow students by having clean hands.
We thank you in advance for your co-operation.
Dave Meizels, Director of Operations
Educational Resources for Children, Inc.
