Our Counselor-in-Training program offers teenagers in grades 10 to 12 the opportunity to make a difference in our community, while developing leadership skills and learning to become an impactful counselor and role model to younger campers. The goal of the CIT Program is to find volunteers that have a true desire to work with children. Our CIT program combines the fun of camp with leadership and on-the-job training. The CIT program is a unique opportunity for motivated young adults to develop necessary life skills.
CITs spend part of their day enjoying a range of activities and part of their day learning about responsibility and professionalism by assisting counselors with camper activities. Counselors-in-Training are provided first-hand experience working with campers and the opportunity to cultivate skills and knowledge in the day camp setting. To gain experience in all camps, and to learn how to work with different age groups, each CIT will rotate throughout our camp.
